Immersion Oil, Type A (Low Viscosity)

Types A and B are essentially interchangeable. Oils are miscible with each other, can be mixed for intermediate viscosities. Type A, at 150 centistokes, reduces most tendencies to trap air, being most beneficial to researchers. Air bubbles can cause image degradation. Type B, at 1250 centistokes, is thick enough for viewing multiple slides with one application
